Services

What is a service?

Services listed on the Gephi Marketplace are any training, consulting, private development or other services related to Gephi which are provided by members of the Gephi community. Services are provided on a paid or free basis by the members.

Who are the members who provide the services?

The members are any individual or company registered on the Gephi Marketplace website. They are not necessarily part of the official Gephi Team, and are not necessarily part of the Gephi Consortium. The members provide services on their own responsibility.

What does it cost?

It depends on the price of the service itself. Browsing the Gephi Marketplace website  is free. Creating an account is free. Listing a new service is free. The Gephi Consortium does NOT take any percentage of the transactions related to services.

Can I register my own services?

Yes! Create an account here (it’s free!). Once logged in, go to this page and select Gephi Service.

How to edit my services?

  1. Log in here.
  2. Go to your administration panel.
  3. Click on Gephi Services.
  4. Select the service you want to edit.
  5. Edit the description, add images and location.
  6. Click on the Update button on the top right to apply the changes.

What is an Endorsement?

Endorsements are special labels attached to the account of some members. In the case of an endorsement by the Gephi Consortium, the member is granted one or multiple labels according to his/her skills with Gephi: Contributor, Developer, Trainer… Endorsements are granted based on evidence of proficiency in the related area. Any member can ask for an endorsement, but the decision is taken solely by the members of the Gephi Consortium. If you consider to deserve such recognition, contact us.

How to become a ‘Certified Gephi Trainer’?

Currently the “Verified Gephi Trainer” status is based on empirical evidence on the people’ skills in using Gephi, and on the ability to give high quality training. We don’t have a certification exam.

For instance, Clément Levallois is an active supporter of the community on the forum. With more than 300 posts, he is obviously a Gephi expert. He has also published an analysis on Nature, published tutorials on his website, and has organized meetups in Netherlands.

Therefore we are looking for slides, publications, blog posts, tutorials…whatever which prove that you are fluent in Gephi. There is room for improvement the procedure in the future, but so far this is our way to go. If you consider to deserve such recognition, contact us.
